Bilingual classes (BLIC) and English class
Our bilingual classes have teachers who either grew up in English-speaking countries or have lived and worked there for several years. All the teaching in Junior Class and in Grade 1 is in English. Teaching in Swedish is introduced after these first two years, rising to 50 percent in Grade 3 until Grade 9.
The BLIC programme is aimed at students who are bilingual (Swedish and English) at the time when they start school. Most of our students use the two languages at home and/or have been attending other English speaking schools where they have learnt English on an advanced level prior to applying to BLIC.
Apply to BLIC
If your child is bilingual, you are welcome to apply to our BLIC programme. You will be contacted shortly to let you know if a place is available or not. Once your application is registered and if/when you are offered a place, you also need to apply at Mitt skolval.
For further information about the bilingual classes (BLIC), please contact Anna Jones.
Our English class is for students in Grade Junior class until Grade 3. The students in this class do not speak Swedish, and they are only here to stay for a short limited time. Students of parents doing research at the university are prioritized to this class.
